Fee to climb Mt Kinabalu not expensive

Allured by this post title?

That was what that guy said.

I just don't believe it and I am totally not agree at all. Ok, well, that was from his view. What about from our view?

BBQs

Today, Monday, is the Marine Day and it is a holiday. But until this morning, it had been raining and the wind had been blewing strong too. I am glad that the sun came out during noon and everybody seemed to take the chance for an outing.

We had an impromtu BBQ with other Malaysian friends and we really enjoyed it.

We had a BBQ with ex and current lab member, yesterday, too. The foods were nice and we brought along the Malaysian delicacy, chiken curry, with extra hot.

This was today's BBQ with Malaysian friends. Not so much into foods because what we wanted was spending and enjoying time together.

We played some famous childhood games too like this one. What do you call this game? Main selipar 3?

What is the meaning going to the beach if you do not play in the water right? The sea was quite cold and wavy. I heard an annoucement when we arrived there, telling people to not go into the water as the wind was quite strong. Did I the only one listened?

So this is where we spent our time this afternoon, Sekiya Beach. It just about 10 minutes by car. As you can see it does not has a white sandy beach like in Sabah. But everybody loves it.

So tomorrow, off to lab again. I hope you guys will have a productive and a happy week.

My 40D failed me

I am not surprised at all, though very disappointed, that my second hand 40D stop working. From the very moment I bought it last year I felt something was not right because it was sold at very cheap price. The shop where I bought it is renown for selling good second hand stuffs. That was why I disregarded my bad feeling at the first place.

During my 2 days vacation last week, after few hours of using the camera, the shutter suddenly stop responding. I tried to press harder but unfortunately nothing happened. I was so regretted that I did not bring my kiss X as backup as I usually do. My feeling that time was so indescribable. After several minutes, it came to work but then dropped dead again. It went on and on and really irritated me to the extend I would just smash the whole thing to pieces.

I contacted Canon service center in Tokyo after returning home for a repair. Gladly they provide a service where somebody come and pick up my camera from my apartment door and send it to the service centre. I hope it will not going to be expensive.

Labpapa lesson of the day: Buy a brand new camera
